$32.5 million settlement to family after tragic tractor-trailer wreck

Ronnie Mabra and co-counsel secured a historic $32.5 million settlement for the widow and four daughters of a U.S. Army veteran killed in an underride collision with a tractor-trailer.

The tractor had not been regularly inspected, was poorly maintained and lacked working lights or reflective markers necessary to its visiblity in the dark. As a result, the victim could neither see nor avoid the tractor-trailer when its driver failed to yield while turning left. The settlement was reached in January 2024 before to going to jury trial in Gwinnett County State Court.
