Fatal Car Accidents in Georgia

Deaths in motor vehicle accidents are tragic events that can have far-reaching consequences not only for the individuals involved but also for their families and communities. A fatal accident can be devastating emotionally and financially.

Intoxicated driving, distracted driving, excessive speeding, and reckless behavior are all risk factors for fatal vehicle accidents. These types of collisions are usually avoidable if traffic laws are followed, proper attention to the road is paid, and responsible driving is practiced.

When a person dies in an accident caused by the negligence of another driver, the surviving family has the legal right to sue the negligent driver for wrongful death. In order to seek justice, the deceased's family will be able to seek monetary compensation for the loss of their loved one.

Although no amount of money can ever compensate for the loss of a loved one, the system exists to assist the family in recovering financially from the tragic accident and to hold the negligent party accountable for their actions.

If someone you care about dies as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident, the first thing you should do is discuss what happened with an experienced Wrongful Death Lawyer. This will assist you in determining whether you are legally entitled to file a compensation claim.

Handling a wrongful death claim or negotiating with an insurance company on your own can be extremely difficult. If you do not have a lawyer on your side, the insurance company will either try to settle the case for the lowest possible amount or simply refuse to pay anything.

  • Funeral and burial expenses.
  • Any outstanding medical bills.
  • The loss of your loved one’s future income.
