Cobb County, GA – Woman Intentionally Hit and Killed by Car Outside of Cumberland Mall
Cobb County, Georgia (July 18, 2023) – According to Georgia police, an 18-year-old is accused of a fatal hit-and-run, intentionally hitting and killing a woman with her vehicle.
The Cobb County Police Department said that the woman now faces multiple charges, including felony murder.
According to police, it happened early on Sunday evening, July 16, outside Cumberland Mall in Atlanta.
The arrest warrant stated that the woman “did intentionally strike said victim” in the parking lot with her Nissan Sentra.
According to police, the 25-year-old victim was seriously injured in the crash and died later at a hospital.
Authorities did not provide any information about a possible motive.
Police said that the woman who hit the victim was arrested on July 17 and charged with murder and aggravated assault.
As of July 18, she was still being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond, according to online records.
The crash is still being investigated, by the authorities.
