Macon, GA – Man Dies Due to Injuries From a Tractor Trailer Crash
Macon, GA (October 31, 2022) - According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, a man from Macon who was 56 years old was involved in an accident with a tractor-trailer and was pronounced dead on October 30 at 7:48 p.m. after spending three nights in critical condition at Atrium Health Navicent.
According to a news release issued by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the incident took place shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Pierce Avenue near Ingleside Avenue. According to the release, a tractor-trailer driven by a man from Forsyth who was 50 years old was traveling north on Pierce Avenue when a Hyundai Sonata driven by a man from Macon who was 56 years old crossed the center line.
The tractor-trailer driver was treated and released at the scene of the crash.
The identities of the men involved in the collision were being held until notification of next of kin could be issued.
