Cartersville, GA (November 21, 2022) - Early on Sunday morning, a collision involving four vehicles occurred on Interstate 75 northbound close to Cartersville, Georgia. The incident caused traffic to be stopped for approximately one hour and forty-five minutes.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, officers from Post 3 Cartersville responded to the accident in Bartow County at 5:05 a.m., which occurred close to mile marker 297.

The driver of a Jaguar F-Type driving northbound on Interstate 75 reported that another car had suddenly merged into their lane. The Jaguar's driver swerved to avoid a collision, but he ended up losing control of the vehicle.

The Jaguar went off the road, hit a guardrail, and then was hit by a Ford 500 heading north on Interstate 75.

Following the initial collision, a Hyundai Sonata driving in the opposite direction on Interstate 75 collided with the Jaguar.

In an attempt to avoid being involved in a collision with the other vehicles, a Chevrolet Monte Carlo went off the road, rolled over, and crashed into a tree. An individual who was a passenger in a Chevrolet Monte Carlo was taken to Kennestone Hospital by life flight for treatment of what may have been a broken neck.
