Bicycle Accident Lawyer in Dacula, GA

Dacula, Georgia (June 16, 2023) - A 13-year-old boy has been in the hospital for days undergoing surgery as a result of a hit-and-run accident that occurred in his father's Dacula neighborhood.

The boy was just released from the hospital on Friday, but his family says that is only the first step toward justice. The next step would be to track down the driver who injured the boy.

The boy's mother said that he is a football player, a basketball player and was going to try out for track this upcoming season. Due to his injuries, it is not unlikely that he will be able to.

Injuries can shake even the toughest players, but the 13-year-old isn’t in a wheelchair because of a sports accident. Rather, just before Father’s Day weekend, a car struck him, while he was riding his dirt bike at his dad’s house.

The boy was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egelston after the accident, where he underwent two surgeries in three days. A third surgery may be needed as the family begs the community to provide Gwinnett police with information about the driver who did not stop.

The license plate and bumper of the vehicle were left at the scene.

Gwinnett County Police are investigating the accident.

Bicycle Accidents in Georgia

People in Georgia frequently travel by bicycle because it is both a practical and cost-effective mode of transportation for them. Unfortunately, it only takes a split second for a careless driver's actions to become catastrophic or even fatal for a cyclist.

When a bicyclist is killed after being hit by a vehicle, their loved ones may be able to file a Wrongful Death claim on their behalf.

If someone you know was killed in a bike accident due to the negligence of another driver, you will need the assistance of a Wrongful Death Lawyer if you want to seek financial compensation for your loss.

Although no amount of money can bring back the person you loved, it can help to ease your mind about the mounting financial obligations left in their wake.

If you were injured in a bicycle accident and believe the driver was at fault, you have the right to seek compensation for any damages or injuries that were sustained.

If you are thinking about filing a claim after a bike accident, you should first consult with a Personal Injury Lawyer for legal help.

Even in simple cases, it is often best to consult with a lawyer to learn what you may be entitled to and which laws apply to your claim.
