Dekalb County, GA – Multi-Vehicle Accident Shut Down Parts of I-20

Dekalb County, Georgia (June 20, 2023) - For some time, parts of Interstate 20 in DeKalb County were closed due to a multi-vehicle accident. 

The collision occurred around noon on the eastbound lanes of I-20 between Wesley Chapel and Panola roads, according to officials.

SKYFOX 5 flew over the accident scene and saw an overturned vehicle on the side of the road.

One of the other vehicles involved in the accident appeared to be tractor-trailer truck. 

The interstate had been closed by police while emergency vehicles responded to the scene.

Traffic was backed up on I-20 up to I-285 despite the crash being cleared. Drivers were being warned to expect major delays and to plan to take alternate routes if at all possible.
