Anyone who is not operating a motor vehicle on the road is a pedestrian. Accidents involving pedestrians pose a serious threat. They are more serious than other types of accidents because, even when moving slowly, a car can seriously hurt an unprotected person. Nearly all pedestrian collisions result in injuries, and many even result in fatalities.
Accidents involving pedestrians are handled by the law similarly to accidents involving motor vehicles. Victims are entitled to compensation for any harm the accident may have caused.
