Sylvester, GA – School Bus Collides with Tractor

Sylvester, GA (November 2, 2022) – An accident involving a school bus and a tractor occurred on Tuesday, November 1st, in the afternoon, but there were no reports of anyone being hurt in the collision.

Georgia State Patrol responded to the accident on GA 313 near Jewel Crowe Road.

According to the findings of the preliminary investigation, the accident took place a little before 4:30 p.m. According to the reports of the state police, a Worth County school bus and a tractor pulling a wagon were both headed north on Georgia State Route 313 when they approached Providence Church Road.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the school bus made an attempt to get around the tractor that was making a left turn into a private driveway.

The school bus struck the front left tire of the tractor with its rear tire.

The driver of the tractor stated he had his left turn signal on, which was on and functioning correctly upon the trooper’s arrival.

According to the driver of the bus, the lights on the tractor were flashing in an emergency situation.

According to the Georgia State Police, in addition to the driver, there were also two students and a teacher’s aide on board the school bus at the time of the accident.
