Upson County, GA – Two Firefighters Seriously Injured in Roll-Over Fire Truck Accident

Upson County, Georgia (July 15, 2023) - Two Rock Hill Fire Department firefighters were injured while on duty in Upson County on Saturday.

The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that their troopers were called to the wreck on Mud Bridge Road, about a mile south of Rocky Bottom Road in Upson County, shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday.

According to GSP investigators, the fire truck flipped while attempting to navigate a curve, and the driver lost control.

Both firefighters were airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries after being thrown from the truck when it flipped.

According to investigators, the firefighters were responding to a wreck on Rocky Bottom Road when the accident happened.
